FAQ

An MBA is considered the qualification standard for top managers. Studying an MBA, candidates receive a high-quality and recognised management education that predisposes graduates to hold executive management positions. MBA studies provide a higher prestige and competitiveness in the labour market, higher value for the corporation, new knowledge in the field of business management and significant contacts with managers from different fields. By studying at the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) of the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE) one obtains an accredited and globally recognised MBA professional degree.

Accreditation should be one of the basic guidelines for an applicant upon programme selection.

Accreditation is a guarantee of the quality of the study. Accreditation confirms that the institution meets the predefined rigorous conditions and provides high-quality studies. The applicant should be interested in what institution, if any, has granted the accreditation. Recognised accrediting bodies include the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in the United States, EQUIS, which is awarded by the EFMD in Brussels, and the Association of MBAs (AMBA) in the UK.  Many MBA schools are accredited only by a foreign partner university, not directly by a recognised accreditation institution.

Yes, our MBA programme was the first and only one in the Czech Republic to receive the prestigious international accreditations EQUIS and AMBA.

These guarantee that the accredited institution and its programmes meet strict quality standards and procedures in accordance with international requirements. The EQUIS and AMBA accreditations confirm the high quality of the studies and place FBA among the top 1% of business schools in the world. We are also members of the Czech Association of MBA Schools CAMBAS.

More information can be found in the Accreditation section.

Each semester, the student takes exams on an ongoing basis. The conclusion of study consists in the preparation and defense of a Master Thesis / Business Project. In addition, the student participates in other study activities online or in Prague.
