Lecturers

Tanweer Ali

Tanweer Ali

Tanweer holds an MA degree in Mathematics from the University of Oxford as well as the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) and FRM (Financial Risk Manager) designations. Before entering academia, Tanweer had a ten-year career in finance, both in the United Kingdom and in the Czech Republic. In addition to his work, Tanweer has been an active volunteer with the CFA Institute in Virginia for over 20 years. He has also acted as a board member or advisor for a number of non-profit organizations, especially in the refugee and human rights fields. He is also an active member of various professional associations and societies. At VŠE, his current research interest is in the field of corporate governance.

Michal Andera

Michal Andera

Michal lectures new business venturing and social entrepreneurship at the Department of Entrepreneurship. He initiated the inter-university meeting of students interested in startups, innovation, and socially responsible business – Startup Night. Michal has first-hand entrepreneurial experience. He co-founded the explainer animation studio ClarityMotion. For several years Michal operated the business podcast bpark.cz and did video-interviews with innovators and entrepreneurs. Recently Michal initiated a non-profit educational activity Re:publikum on public sector operations.

Gunther Herr

Gunther Herr

Gunther is professor for Comprehensive Business Innovation Strategies at the Steinbeis Hochschule and has lectureships at the University of Applied Sciences in Coburg. He works for the WOIS Innovation Institut for innovation research and strategic corporate development in Coburg. He is author and co-author of numerous publications on innovation-strategies, including the book The Illogic of Innovation – How do you manage Leadership through Contradictions. Prof. Herr is member of the Advisory Board of the Innovation Centre in Kronach, a regional business network with more than 70 partner companies and member of the Scientific Board of the Dieselmedaillie advisory board – the oldest European inventors prize. The initiative represents more 500.000 employees and more than 100 Mld. € turnover.

Marek Hudík

Marek Hudík

Marek is an Associate professor at the Department of Managerial Economics and Director of the DBA program. His current research focuses on decision-making, institutional economics, and applied microeconomics. Before joining VŠE, he worked at the International Business School Suzhou at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in China. He also held visiting positions at several renowned institutions in China, Italy, Germany and USA. Marek holds a Certificate in Professional Studies in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK. Throughout his career, he has received several teaching and research awards. Between 2012 and 2013, Marek worked for the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic in the EU Economic Policy Coordination Unit. He also has international experience with teaching in executive education programs.

Richard A. Novák

Richard A. Novák

Richard is an expert in ethical AI, digitalization and IT management. He graduated from the Czech Technical University in Prague and received his Ph.D. in Big Data Ethics from the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics at the Prague University of Economics and Business (VŠE). He founded the Prague Data Ethics Lab and teaches courses related to Ethical AI and IT Governance at VŠE. He founded and currently serves as CEO of OmniCrane, a startup focused on applying AI to SalesTech and MarTech. Previously, he held the position of Vice-President at telecommunications companies T-Mobile Czech Republic, GTS Czech and Director of IT Services at Slovak Telekom.

Vojtěch Opleštil

Vojtěch Opleštil

Vojtěch is a member of the Department of Strategy and he is also an Executive Director of the Institute of Management which provides the MBA program. Vojtěch graduated in business economics and management at FBA and in international management in CEMS. He worked for 16 yeas in management consulting with Deloitte, PwC and Novartis internal consulting team. He worked for public sector in the Czech Republic as well as manufacturing and FMCG companies in the Czech Republic, Germany, and Poland. He lead cost cutting, post-merger integration and large global transformation projects. At FBA he teaches courses on strategic analysis, strategy, and growth strategy. At the MBA, he lectures Strategy Execution and skills seminars focused on problem solving, storylining, and storytelling.

Daniela Pauknerová

Daniela Pauknerová

Daniela is an Associate professor at the Faculty of Business Administration VŠE, where she heads the Department of Managerial Psychology and Sociology. She holds her Ph.D. in the field of work and organizational psychology at the Charles University. Daniela has large experience from business practice, where she works as a consultant and lecturer in various courses, trainings and psychological expertise. She is the author and co-author of many professional and popular scientific publications and articles, which were awarded not only at VŠE. She has also been awarded as the Excellent Teacher of the Faculty. Her teaching is also recognized in the prestigious international CEMS MIM programme. She is an active member of various professional associations and societies. In her professional, scientific and pedagogical work, she mainly deals with the issues of leadership and personal development.

Ladislav Tyll

Ladislav Tyll

Ladislav is an Associate professor, experienced lecturer and business consultant with more than 14-year experience. He is also the Academic Director of the faculty international programmes, among them also prestigious CEMS MIM programme. In 2022 Ladislav was awarded CEMS Philippe Louvet Innovation Award for innovation in teaching. Together with his colleague from the Department of Strategy, he has co-written several case studies published by Ivey Publishing. Currently he is also supervising the first and only ESG Rating in the Czech Republic which goal is to promote ESG as philosophy among Czech companies. Together with his team he is providing consulting services focusing at designing ESG strategy for companies.
