Exciting News: June 2024 Graduations

It is with great pleasure that the EMBA team announce that on Wednesday 26 June 2024, the following friends and colleagues graduated:

To say the least, their theses were rich and thought-provoking.

Tomáš Rulík presented an excellent review of burnout in his Manager’s Burnout: Recognizing Available Help and Addressing Its Underuse. Overall, his thesis contributes significantly to a broader understanding of burnout, especially in high pressure environments.

Richard PhillipsFinance Automation in Multinational Corporations: Approaches, Trends and Guidance for Professionals addresses the challenges within the context of the operations of Finance departments in multinational corporations, bringing a structured approach to understand the means of automation, and offering a realistic guide to practitioners in the field.

Managerial missteps – An Ethnological approach presented by Václav Lagner, adopted a unique approach to his discussion on the historical significance of various management facets – ranging from managerial management to people and corporate management – in facilitating the operations of entities larger than two individuals.

Francisco Owen investigates in his Four-Day Work Week & Flexible Working Hours two issues related to enhance working conditions between employees and their employer: improving the working relationship between employees and their employer comes first; and second, if such conditions cannot be altered, how much can be done to better them.

Paulo Miguel Sá Ferreira in his Project management methodologies for the deployment of new generation of networks seeks to validate the premise that there are no broadly applied project management methodologies for the deployment of New Generation Networks (NGN), but by using them can be relevant to improve the project speed, quality, and cost control.

In all of the above, we are extremely proud of the authorship in both the content and the novel insights contributed to their respective practical domains. We wish you good fortune in your future endeavours and welcome to the EMBA alumni.
