Celebrating our recent graduates
The first recognition in a series.
Unlike the academic thesis, the VŠE FBA Executive MBA programme offers two options:
- Thesis that explores in-depth business problems in the students’ organisation or industry. As a result of their research and analyses, the candidate proposes practical recommendations, guidelines, or means of resolution.
- The business project is a tangible membership in an active project within the candidates’ enterprise. This permits the student to continue project participation while completing their final deliverable.
As our programme members agree to not disclose proprietary information during consultations with our external associates, corporations, and enterprise, we reciprocate this privilege. With respect to this common understanding, some of our graduate Thesis/Business Project content, are not divulged. Needless to say, the quality of which was outstanding.
This installation of our series to honour our graduates share the accomplishments of:
Pavel Štěpánek, MBA
A well-known Prague restauranteur from Mlýnec investigates the impact of COVID-19, and subsequent lockdowns, analyses the impacts to the service industry. His thesis entitled, The shift in work attitudes in the hospitality industry post-covid-19 from the generational perspective, provides Czech and other European service industries insights as to the new reality. His in-depth review and analysis serve to provide the contemporary perspective of employees going forward. His results are outstanding to an industry finally gaining ground since the pandemic.

Elise has held many management positions in Prague, Paris, and now in neighbouring Poland. Her thesis entitled: An Analysis of Tax Burden in the Czech Republic and Its Impact on the Competitiveness of Chinese Manufacturing Companies, examines the many challenges faced by Chinese enterprises in the Czech Republic. Navruz Bicen, MBA
Navruz in her thesis Lockdown Impacts: Employee Expectations on Their Benefits, Salaries, and Workplace Models in the IT Industry in Czechia reminds her reading audience of the trails and tribulations experienced during the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns. We are proud of our students (now graduates), who immersed themselves in their chosen topics for their own benefit, as well as that of their organisations. We are also proud of the effort and energy they invested in their final deliverables, which is particularly impressive given their full-time jobs and other roles and responsibilities.
