Celebrating our recent graduates: Theses and projects

The second recognition in a series (first part here). As mentioned in our first grad-announcement, we continue to promote our former students for their excellent work during their final degree deliverables.

Unlike the academic thesis, the VŠE FBA Executive MBA programme offers two options:

  1. Thesis that explores in-depth business problems in the students’ organisation or industry. As a result of their research and analyses, the candidate proposes practical recommendations, guidelines, or means of resolution.
  2. The business project is a tangible membership in an active project within the candidates’ enterprise. This permits the student to continue project participation while completing their final deliverable.

As our programme members agree to not disclose proprietary information during consultations with our external associates, corporations, and enterprise, we reciprocate this privilege. With respect to this common understanding, some of our graduate Thesis/Business Project content, are not divulged. Needless to say, the quality of which was outstanding.

This time, we present three more deliverables from the March graduation:

Ing. Vladislav Slabý, MBA for his thesis entitled, Impact of AI on media production and operations – of the news agency wherein he examines the impact of Artificial intelligence (AI), particularly in the form of large language models (LLMs), and how it transforms the way news is produced, distributed, and consumed. This shift brings both unprecedented opportunities and significant challenges to the traditional roles within news agencies. As AI becomes more integrated into media operations, it is crucial to understand its impact on the editorial process and to identify solutions that ensure the ethical and efficient production of reliable news. By addressing this topical issue, Vladislav contributes meaningfully to a conversation that affects not only the media industry but society at large.

Anastasia Parlali, MBA investigates the feasibility and readiness of the packaging industry, specifically Polyethylene Stretch film manufacturing for construction materials packaging, to comply with and manage with the EU Green Deal directives without harming business sustainability. In her work EU Green Deal Feasibility in Packaging Industry, Anastasia prioritises these risks using Pareto analysis and proposes specific actions such as enhancing packaging design, improving sorting quality, and promoting the use of certified recycled polymers. Her findings support the hypothesis that current knowledge in operations management provides a sufficient background for managers to develop strategies that comply with the Green Deal legal framework. The study concludes with recommendations for future research and practical steps for industry stakeholders.

Ing. Filip Vogel, Ph.D., MBA in his Implementation of AI tools in a commercial department. Dr. Vogel examines the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the modern workplace in that it presents an exciting opportunity to enhance efficiency and simplify workflows by automating repetitive and time-consuming tasks. The tools may be customised to perform a wide range of tasks, including drafting professional emails, editing documents for grammatical and stylistic accuracy, conducting preliminary analyses, and managing large volumes of data. In his extensive and thorough analyses, Filip focused on the implementation of generative AI tools to enhance efficiency and simplify workflows in business environments. As part of this initiative, he identified and elaborated on a series of AI modules, which hold significant potential for improving daily operations within a business development team.

We sincerely applaud their extraordinary work and thank them for their diligence during their MBA experience!
