This course covers following issues:
Nature of business:
- Definition, importance to society and the economy, attitudes towards entrepreneurship
The personality of the entrepreneur:
- Personality characteristics, motivations and attitudes of entrepreneurs, factors affecting start-up businesses
Exploration and exploitation of the business opportunities:
- New ideas, techniques and concepts used for the evaluation of opportunities to establish businesses
The founding of the company:
- Initial activities, start-up process
- The acquisition of the business team and employees:
- Composition and management of the business team, employee selection, team roles, social capital.
The growth of the company:
- Exploitation of inner sources for growth of firm efficiency (Performance tuning).
- Dimensions and stages of growth,
- Change of role from entrepreneur as a founder to entrepreneur as an overcomer of growth barriers
The aim of the courses:
- To provide participants basic overview of entrepreneurship and motivation to entrepreneurship
- To develop skills required when starting a business activity and to show the specifics of management in particular levels in firms
- To provide students with knowledge and skills needed for preparation, evaluation and analysis of the investment and project risk
- To give a complete overview of the whole process when evaluating a business, approaches for business evaluation and systems of different evaluating methods
